  KunaYoga Pose of the Month – Windy Triangles

 

 

Early Summer move in with the winds of change.   We embrace the challenges of change in triangle pose.  Triangles offer us an opportunity to explore and reach new, deeper, stronger structures.  The new growth is a change and will awaken our body as well as our mind.

Triangles are the foundation of a solid practice as our feet anchor to the ground.  In twisted pose we endure the length  created as we reach and turn.  The reach, turn, and twist in triangle pose will rinse the body of stress and build systemic durability. 

To enhance the body and the mind, slowly move through balance triangles, twisted lunge, and warrior pose.  Notice the awakening of nerve endings, muscle warmth, and a gradual lengthening of the legs and back.  Encourage further growth with the long, strong breathing engagement.

In triangle pose our concentration increases.  The acute mental focus on the breathing shifts us to a calming moment, giving us relief of stress and an opportunity to go deeper into practice.
